Mehmud Darwaisj dies after heart surgery in Texas
Ramallah: (Reuters) The Palestinian poet Mehmood Darwish passed away after his heart surgery in Texas. The Palestinian President, Mahmud Abbas declared 3 days morning as said “The passing of our great poet, Mahmoud Darwish, the lover of Palestine, the pioneer of the modern Palestinian cultural project, and the brilliant national leader, will leave a great gap in our political, cultural and national lives.”
11 killed in blasts in West China
Beijing (Reuters): 15 men suspected of being Muslim separatists launched attacks in West China. Over 11 people have been reported to have been killed in these attacks. Police killed eight assailants, 2 attackers blew themselves up while 2 were captured. Police is searching for 3 attackers who managed to escape.
Muslim fighters confronted by Philippines
Manila: (Reuters) 800 Moro Islamic liberation Front gurellas came under heavy firing from the Philippines military after they failed to meet the deadline of 24 hours given by the authorities to leave the villages in the North Cotabato province.
US asked to give clear deadline for troop’s withdrawal from Iraq
Baghdad (Reuters): Iraqi Foreign Minister has urged that US must provide a definite timeline for withdrawal of troops from Iraq. Though the political leaders in Iraq are now confident that the country has become safe but the incidents like killing of 15 people including US soldier yesterday, reminded people that Iraq remain to be a volatile country.
US needs more time to delist N. Korea from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism
Beijing: (AFP) North Korean hopes of getting the country delisted from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism with 45 days as said by the US President went sour when Dennis Wilder, senior director of National Security Council said “At this point, I think, it is reasonable to say that tomorrow probably will come and go without that happening.”
