Indian army kills 12 more in Kashmir

New Delhi: The uprising in the Kashmir valley has left 12 people dead as the Indian army continues to fire at point black range at the protestors to keep them from showing aggression. The uprising began with the decision of the Indian government to hand over the land in the Muslim’s valley for building a Hindu temple. The former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir blamed the Hindu extremists for creating such a situation.

Ban imposed on 5 Iranian firms by the US

Washington (AP): The United States government has imposed ban on 5 Iranian firms by freezing the assets of these firms inside the US and have imposed restrictions on the companies in the US from dealing with these as they believe that these 5 Iranian companies have been involved in helping their country in developing nuclear weapons.

Muslim rebels started withdrawal after days of heavy fighting in Southern Philippines

United Nations (AFP): After days of fighting between the Muslim rebels and the security forces in Philippines that left 27 rebels, 1 security personnel dead and 12 wounded and have displaced 130,000 people. the Muslim rebels have started to withdraw.

The United Nations Secretary General voiced his concern on the depleting humanitarian conditions and said in an official statement that “The (UN) Secretary General is concerned about the unfolding humanitarian crisis as a result of fighting in central Mindanao, an area which has already been affected by conflict for several decades.”

Iran’s supreme commander says that resistance pays off

Tehran (AFP): During the 3 days visit of the Algerian president Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the Iran’s Supreme leader said that “People and their government’s resistance and their demanding their rights will bear fruit, the Iranian nation and government achieved all the progress they have despite pressures, sanctions, and threats by the domineering powers.”

Alongside Beijing Olympics Hong Kong organizes Olympics for Pets

Hong Kong (AFP): A Hong Kong pets shop has organized “Pet Olympic”. A 10 weeks events where pets are required to show their skills in games like Rabbit Hurdles, parrot rope climbing, cat agility contest. These events are being held to promote sports in animals.
