Prachanda - takes oath to the office of PM of Nepal
Kathmandu (AFP): Yesterday, the Nepal’s Maoist leader took oath this the office of Prime Minister of Nepal. Prachanda was voted to the position of PM with an overwhelming majority. While speaking on this occasion he said “I will remain faithful to the nation and my countrymen, and promise in the name of the people that I will remain faithful to the sovereign nation of Nepal.”

London (Reuters): London police, in a crack down on knife crimes, arrested around 2,500 people and recovered 1,600 knives under the Tackling Knife Action Program.
East Indians urged to eat rats to reduce dependence on grains
Patna (Reuters): The East Indian state of Bihar, the poorest state of India will be eating rats to reduce the consumption on food grains. The rising prices of food stuff led the government of the state to make such request to the people. They also plan to put rats on restaurant menu. As official of the State Welfare Department, Vijay Prakash said “Eating of rats will serve twin purposes —it will save grains from being eaten away by rats and will simultaneously increase our grain stock.”
Muslim cleric held on terrorism charges in Italy
Rome (Reuters): A Muslim cleric has been held by the Italian police linking him to suicide bombing in Casablanca in 2003. He will be extradited to his homeland Morocco where he will be prosecuted.
Iran offers friendly Muslim states help for launching their satellite in space
Tehran (Reuters): Iran continues to press the hot buttons of the world powers. With the successful launch of its satellite Iran has extended its offer to the friendly Muslim countries that it is ready to launch satellites of other Muslim countries into space through its long range ballistic technology.
