No time frame set by PPP for reinstatement of judiciary

Islamabad: With the national assembly due to meet today it was hoped that resolution for reinstatement of judiciary will be tabled today but the draft of resolution is not ready and will not be presented. The committee that was responsible to handle this issue could not meet as the committee members representing PML-N refused to attend the meeting. PML-N executive committee is meeting today to decide upon their future course of action.

Government reject Taliban’s offer for ceasefire

Islamabad: The government of Pakistan rejected the offer of ceasefire and to hold peace talk that came from the Taliban leadership yesterday. Rehman Malik, adviser to the Prime Minister on the Interior said that government has decided to intensify its military operation against Taliban and will hold talk with the militants only when then decide to surrender their arms.

Fate of ruling coalition hangs a thin thread - PML-N decision today

Lahore: The central executive committee is meeting today to decide the upon the role in the ruling coalition. After the breach of terms of agreement by Asif Ali Zardari for the third time, the PMlL-N is meeting to decide further course of action which includes say “bye bye’ to its coalition partners and might decide upon fielding their own presidential candidate.

Jirga talk fails, gives rise to new clashes that left 42 people dead

Parachanar / Kohat: Clashes between the rival tribes broke out after the failure of talks being held to broker a peace deal. This failure led to deaths of 42, leaving 62 injured.

Armored vehicles of NATO set on fire in Karachi

Karachi: Two armored vehicles of NATO that were being sent to Afghanistan via Karachi were intercepted and the trailer carring these vehicles was set on fire. Mob of 25 people set the trailer on fire resulting in damaging one vehicle.
