Bomb Blast in Bannu kills 11 people
Islamabad: (Reuters) In a town in NWFP, (Bannu) a car bomb blast took place near a bus carrying Pakistan police personnel today. 9 policemen and two passerby were killed. The bus was there to pick up prisoners. 12 people who were wounded were shifted to the nearby hospital immediately.
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani not to be given vote of confidence - PML-N
Washington: While giving an interview to a US weekly, the chief of Pakistan Muslim League (N) said that his party would sit in opposition if PM, Yousuf Raza Giliani had to obtain vote of confidence. He also said that when PML-N can form a coalition with PPP, it is also possible for the party to form an alliance with PML-Q.
In reply to a question on his point of view about the war on terror, Nawaz Sharif pointed out to Ireland as an example by saying that anti terror war can only be won by means of dialogue.
Restoring deposed Chief Justice will cause constitutional crises - Says Law Minister
Islamabad: Mr. Farooq H. Naek, pin pointed the issues that could arise if the deposed Chief Justice is restored. He said that there cannot be two Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. The government he said is committed to the reinstatement of judiciary and to show its commitment, as the first step 8 judges of the SHC have resumed their offices. He said that such actions can cause constitutional crises.
Talking about the lawyers movement, he said that the lawyers community is welcomed to sit down and discuss issues with the government or if they choose they can take to streets and politicize the issue.

Islamabad: The power crises persists in the country. The power suppliers in the country are short of energy. The city of Karachi too, is facing unprecedented and lengthy blackouts through out the day and night. The city of Karachi which is the economic and industrial hub of the country has been facing sever power shortages resulting in the loss of billion of rupees to the country.
Lawyers to come into action today
Islamabad: The planned action by the lawyers to perform 2 hours peaceful sit in and blocking the major connecting roads in the country demanding restoration of deposed judiciary is being triggered from today.
