London (AFP): The assistant commissioner of London Police, Tarique Ghaffur, a senior Muslim policeman in Britain launched a case against the Chief of London Police, Sir Ian Blair on charges of racial discrimination. While talking to the reporters he said “My current case is essentially to do with my treatment at the highest levels of the Met, in particular the discrimination I have been subjected to over a long period by the present Commissioner Sir Ian Blair,”

Geneva (AFP): The World Health Organization’s latest reports spells out the lethal combination of poverty and injustice that is killing people on a large scale. The WHO report urged the world community at large to cut inequality by funding healthcare.

27 year old cake of Charles & Diana’s wedding auctioned foR $2,200
London (AFP): Slice of Prince Charles and Princes Diana wedding cake fetched $2,200 for the keeper of the slice who stored it for 27 years. The marzipan and icing cake decorated with royal coat of arms was presented by one of 22 cake distributors, given to the royal staff. The slice was auction to fetch $2,200.
