Blu-Ray-Disc

Dallas, Texas- CaymanMama — With the HD DVD and Blu-Ray war being over for quite some time now, manufacturers have been given ample time to create Blu-Ray products to provide to consumers worldwide. At first, a couple of companies(Sony, JVC, etc) had rights to brag that they were churning out these pricey discs that provided an amazing home theater experience, however with time, smaller companies have acquired these rights as well.

One of these smaller companies, Verbatim, will be coming out with a new recordable Blu-Ray disc, called Verbatim Blu-Ray BD-R 2x. With all of the latest desktops and laptops featuring the option to add a Blu-Ray player to the hardware these discs, will indeed come in handy.

What makes these discs, different from other recordable Blu-Ray discs? While it features a 2x writable speed, 270 minutes of recording, and a storage capacity of 50 GB, the one feature that really caught our attention was the anti-scratch protective layer added to both sides of the disc. This protective layer shields the disc from every-day wear and tear as well as protection from fingerprints.

For those of you who are looking for a quality product, these efficient Blu-Ray discs will be available sometime this fall, and will be sold as a 10 disc spindle.
