Mingora: The responsibility of kidnapping of 2 Chinese engineers was claimed by Tehrik-i-Taliban. The Chinese engineers, their Pakistan security guard and the driver, all 4 went missing on Tuesday. Taliban has said that all 4 are in their custody and are safe.
Meanwhile, in the security forces attacked at the hideouts of the militants in Gut and Peuchar area, killing 15 people and injuring 35.
Complete amnesty to militants who surrender promised by Pakistan’s Prime Minister
Islamabad: While addressing the Senate, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani promised amnesty to the militants who would lay down their arms and surrender. Mr. Gilani said that he considered Taliban as ‘brothers’, they should shun the weapons and should work for the development of the country.
He also said that the 17th amendment of the constitution will be repealed and the new president of Pakistan will also reinstate the judiciary to pre November 03 position.
‘Political Blackmail’ of Sharifs’ initiated through National Accountability Bureau
Rawalpindi: When the political big wigs cannot get things done their way, their churn their fingers in wrong directions to get what they want.
The National Accountability Bureau has filled application seeking to reopen cases of corruption against Mr. Nawaz Sharif, his brother, the now chief minister if Punjab – Shahbaz Sharif and other family member of the Sharif family and against Senator Ishaq Dar.
US sends Pakistani detained at Guantanamo Bay prison back home
Washington: 3 detainees of Guantanamo Bay Prison were release and send back to the countries. The released Pakistani national had been sent to Pakistan while the other two have been sent to Afghanistan, their homeland. The numbers of detainees have been reduced to 255 after the release of these 3 prisoners.
KSE-100 registers modest gain – traded shares volume at all time low
Karachi: Though the Karachi Stock Exchange showed a modest rise in its share index by 19.36 points bringing the KSE-100 index to 9229.51 the volume of traded shares for the second time this year fell to the lowest level of 8.8 million shares.
