Lahore: After deciding to repeal the National Accountability Bureau, the Prime Minister of Pakistan formed a committee of law makers to decide upon new laws that can make the armed forces and the judiciary accountable for their actions.

Islamabad: The government has at last thought about the depleting economy of the country. In order to control the inflating fuel bill the government has decided to announce 2 days weekly holiday instead of the present 1 day holiday and also to close down the petrol pumps one a week.

Islamabad: The new President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, will be taking oath today at 1:00 PM at the Presidency in Islamabad. Pakistan has invited the Afghan President to attend the oath taking ceremony. Karzai accepted the invitation and expressed hopes that the relationship between both the countries should improve.

PM assures restoration of constitution to its original form

Islamabad: The US congressional delegation was assured by the Prime Minister of Pakistan that the 1973 constitution of Pakistan will be restored in its original form guaranteeing freedom of press and independence of judiciary.

Karachi Stock Exchange fails to retain the weekend positivity

Karachi: The stock exchange in Karachi slumped today. The investors could not carry on with the weekend’s high sentiments that led to the rise in the index. The KSE was down by 46 points bringing the index to 9296 points.
