If you’re familiar with Digg, then the dynamics of Yahoo Buzz will not be too foreign for you. It basically works the same way.
Yahoo Buzz is a special service of Yahoo, wherein users can share whatever they can with others—news stories, videos, music, and photos, to name a few. You can also share blogs and feeds that you think would interest others. However, unlike having editors to determine which contents would be published or not, it will be the users who are going to rate the entries.
How the System Works
1. Yahoo picks the topics. Using the list of commonly searched keywords in the search engine, Yahoo will be picking topics that are currently of great interest to Internet users these days. It can be about politics, a new artist, movie, music, blog, or photo.
2. The voting starts. Once the topics have already been identified, Yahoo will start picking entries that fit into these topics, while other users can begin voting for the best ones. Notifications can be done through your Yahoo e-mail. You can also visit the Yahoo Buzz page to know of the updates.
3. The best ones can be published in the home page. Those that have garnered the highest votes will have the opportunity to be published in the homepage, giving it the potential to be read by millions in a single day.

1. Add Buzz buttons. If you’re running a blog, don’t forget to add a button into your post, so your readers can submit your articles into Yahoo Buzz. Keep in mind that the more people adding you, the higher will be your ratings or your vote.
2. Create interesting posts. To capture the attention or to gain favor from other users, ensure that your entries are interesting, new, or fresh.
