Spears Surprises at the Video Music Awards

One of the biggest surprises of the week, was Britney Spears winning three moonmen awards at the Video Music Awards hosted by none other than MTV. The singer/actress had been highly profiled last year and earlier this year for her erratic behavior on and off cameras. While the year started off with rocky beginnings, things finally calmed down for the pop star.
As the year progressed Spears continued to receive good news, some including getting to see her children again, her hit appearance on the CBS show, ‘How I Met Your Mother,’ starting work on a new album, and finally winning three moonmen awards, for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video Of The Year for her hit single, “Piece of Me.” At the star studded event, Spears impressed with her elegant outfit, and even won one of the best dressed by Yahoo. While she did not actually perform, she did open the Video Music Award, for the third time. The last time being a dud, when she performed her hit “Gimme More”.
The star studded event took place on September 7th, and included performances by Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Christina Aguilera, T.I, Kanye West, and more.
