No assurance from the US to stop incursion - Pakistan in state of War

Washington: Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari in his first press conference out the country stressed Pakistani people to realize the fact the country is in the state of war and the situation cannot change by closing ones eyes.

In reply to a question about US led war on terror, Mr. Zardari said that the country wants US to stop incursion inside Pakistani territory but so far US has given no assurances in this regards.

He outlined his governments policies on other International issues.

Intelligence and security agencies must work together - Government concerned over intelligence failure

Islamabad: The Prime Minister of Pakistan while speaking to the Federal cabinet expressed deep concern over the failure of the intelligence agencies and have asked to to work together as they had miserably failed to combat terrorist activities inside the country. The Islamabad bomb blast is one such example.

Security at Barclays Bank branch in Islamabad beefed after terrorist threat received

Islamabad: Two clean shaved men wearing dress pants handed over a written note to containing a threat of terrorists attack at the bank’s branch to the security guard posted out the Barclays Bank branch in Islamabad after obtaining complete details of the security arrangements at the bank’s premises. Police was called in and the branch has been cordoned off. Police has taken the footage of CCTV into custody and are searching for the two unidentified men.

Suicide bomber kills 3 and injures 23 people including 6 school children

Quetta: A school girl was among the victims who died in the suicide bomb attack in Quetta. The target of the suicide bomber were the security personnel stationed at the military police check post. According to unofficial sources 3 security officials died in the bomb blast.

Stocks down, investors kept on sideline a day before floor freeze ends

Karachi: Brisk steps like ban on blank and short sales just before the floor freeze is expected to end, did not do much to bring some life into the stock market. Yet again the KSE-100 index registered a fall of 8.76 points bringing the Index at 9,190.75 points. The trading volume touch the lowest with 2.782 million shares trading hands.
