Every September, Steve Jobs rakes in a whole lot of money from those who are looking for the next best thing. Why is this you ask? Well, it is during this time, that Jobs, CEO of Apple, releases its new line of iPod products. This time, the 4th Generation iPod nano made its debut.
Dallas, Texas (CaymanMama.com) — What makes the 4G nano so special, is that it ditches its 3G stout design and goes back to having a sleek and slim look. For many, such as myself, this was a good enough reason to purchase the new product. Included in this new design, is a new longer screen that features a glass screen. Although, it looks very stunning, it is very prone to glare, and unwanted finger prints.
Besides, a much needed makeover, the nano gives buyers a pleasant surprise in the interface department. iTunes’ latest feature, ‘Genius’ is also available here with the click of the center button. Also, when playing a song, album art is viewed as a whole, like the ipod Touch, and iPhone.
Like the “Touch” and iPhone, the new nano also features an accelerometer that allows you to view cover flow in a horizontal view. Video is also watched like this. One of my favorite features, is the shake to shuffle. When you shake the iPod nano firmly, it will shuffle the music. Much to my pleasure, the nano was available in 9 colors, which made choosing quite impossible.
You can get your own iPod nano at your local Apple store, in a 8GB for $149, or for $199, the 16GB.
