Karzai softens stand against Pakistan - Zardari all out to catch Osama

Washington: In separate interviews to the CNN the leaders of Pakistan and Afghanistan pledged that both the countries would help each other in fighting terrorism. While Pakistani President vowed to get hold of Osama Bin Laden and asked Mr. Karzai to share intelligence about the whereabouts of Osama in Pakistan, which the Afghan government has been so intensively claiming, so that he can be captured.

While Afghan President showed his soft side for Pakistani government. He also said that Osama’s current whereabouts are not known to the Afghan Intelligence. He said the he is sure that the new government will take more serious steps infighting terrorism.

Zardari’s aircraft hit by delivery truck in New York

Washington: President Zardari’s airplane’s tail was hit by a delivery truck at the New York airport. The incident caused 12 hours delay in the return of the President from his 5 days official tour to the United States. Mr. Zardari was in the hotel when the incident took place.

Pakistani militant among 11 Muslims killed in Indian held Kashmir

Srinagar: Indian security forces killed 11 Muslim Militants in fighting in Indian held Kashmir. Statement issued by the Indian authorities stated that “One of the dead militants was identified as Abu Khubaib, a Pakistani,” he was serving as a “launching commander” for hardliner group Lashkar-i-Toiba.

Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff visits Bajaur

Khar: While fierce battle was underway in the troubled area of Bajaur, the Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani choose to visit the area on Sunday when the security forces killed 15 militants while wounded several others.

Karachi Stock Exchange downslide - a week long sad story

Karachi: The week that passed by showed the sad story of continued downfall of stock at the Karachi Stock Exchange. The Stock Exchange witnessed at time low trading sessions during the week.
