Thieves steal 1,300 years old antiques from Afghan museum

Kabul (AFP): A gangs of thieves termed as ‘powerful gang’ busted the Afghan Museum in ‘Hirat’ the second largest city of Afghanistan and stole 22 antiques made of clay and metal belonging to pre-Islamic Buddhist era dating back 1,300 years. Two suspects have been taken into custody.

Maoist led coalition calls Nepalese rebels for talks

Kathmandu (Reuters): The Nepal government has asked the armed rebel groups in Nepal who are demanding greater regional autonomy and have been fighting low intensity insurgency in town named Madesh located in plains near Nepal - India border to come to the table and conclude discuss their issues.

Chinese toxic milk and milk products taken off from markets

Beijing (AFP): Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan and Philippines have recalled all the milk impored from China. In Japan too, the food processing company ‘Marudai Food’ withdrew bread rolls made from Chinese tainted milk. With the China’s milk scandal deepening Australia, New Zealand and European countries call off Chinese Milk and milk products including White Rabbit sweets from the market.

American football legend found guilty of armed robbery and kidnapping

Las Vegas (AFP): O. J.’s friends sold him off, they testified against the football player. O.J. was handcuffed and taken away from the courtroom. He and his co-defendant remained emotionless at the time. Simpson who spoke to the media after his trial said that he was recovering his stolen trophies and some personal things and he was unaware that the people accompanying him were armed.

O.J. can be sentenced for life term imprisonment. His sentence will be served on December 5th.

Europe searching for a bailout plan for its banks

Paris (Reuters) Emergency summit begins in Europe to fight the financial crises that is now taking over Europe after creating havoc in the United States. The turbulence is being felt around the world. The financial bigwigs calling the crises worst since 1930’s. “The politicians have to take responsibility in this very difficult situation, but those who have caused the damage must contribute to the solution,” said the German Chancellor Angela Merkel as she entered the summit.
