Washington, D.C. (CaymanMama.com) — The 2008 Presidential Campaign is rolling to the finish line in full force with attacks being thrown into either camp’s side questioning motive and character.
In the recent vice presidential debate between democratic Senator Joe Biden and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the words were super heated but one went a little farther than the other on the attack.
According to a report by Politico, Biden said on Wednesday that Palin’s attacked on Barack Obama have gone ‘way too far’.
“It’s just malarkey, flat malarkey,” Biden said on CBS’s ‘Early Show’ of Palin’s accusations of links between Barack Obama to former 1960’s radical William Ayers.
Biden continued, “You know, the idea here that somehow these guys are, once again, injecting fear and loathing into this campaign I think is mildly dangerous. I mean, here you have out there these kinds of, you know, incitements out there — a guy introducing Barack using his middle name as if it’s some epitaph or something. This is over the top.”
Biden had strong words for his rival and had some strong words of his own when he gave an interview on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’. He noted that ever since Palin’s announcement that the ‘heels are on, the gloves are off’, the “bulldog with lipstick” has crossed the line of etiquette and manners during her rallies while encouraging supporters who Biden believes are going ‘overboard.’
Biden indicated that he feels Palin’s stretches to smear Obama’s character have gone ‘way too far’ and said that Palin may not have anything left in her arsenal to talk about, therefore, going to far in her campaign speeches.
He went on to say that Palin should be buffering some of the heckling that is occurring at the speeches and make attempts to lower the volatile mood of the crowd.
