Bomber rain hell in Kohat

Kohat: 50 tribesmen were killed and over 100 injured in bomb blasts by militants. As per reports a bomber below his explosive laden vehicle on a tribal meeting (jirga) that was being held in Khadezai in the Kurran Agency. As per reports Taliban are behind this bomb attack as they had warned the local tribesmen against waging war on Taliban, the warning was given to the elders of the tribe who had convened the meeting to formulate the strategy for fighting against militants.

Islamabad: The opposition in Pakistan has expressed its dissatisfaction against the briefing being held in the closed parliamentary session. The leader of the opposition Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan spoke to the correspondent and said that till now the parliamentarian have only being briefed about the military operations in the tribal areas. He said the government has still not given any briefing on their policy on fighting against terrorism or is the government following President Musharraf’s policy. He further said“The PPP-led government should inform parliament as to what extent Musharraf’s policies are continuing. Parliamentarians must be informed about the reasons that had forced us to fight the war of America in our country. Similarly, we should clear whether we are fighting our own fight or not.”

Ray of hope for Pakistan - Tehran to consider Pakistan’s request on oil imports on deferred payments

Islamabad: The Prime Minister of Pakistan made a formal request to the foreign minister of Iran requesting consideration of imports of crude oil by Pakistan on deferred payment basis for one year. The facility will help Pakistan is overcoming the current financial crises.

The foreign minister has expressed hope and assured the Pakistani leadership that Iran might consider Pakistan request.The Prime Minister also urged that Iran should begin working on the Iran Pakistan India gas pipeline soon.

Complete closure of Stock Exchange from Monday on Table

Karachi: The downfall of Karachi Stock Exchange has left many investors and trader of stock in a shock. The Board of Directors of KSE met the Security and Exchange commission yesterday to discuss the possible closure of Karachi Stock Exchange from Monday.

Ministry of Petroleum disallow oil marketing companies to import oil

Islamabad: The oil marketing companies have been stopped by the Ministry of Petroleum from importing oil. The move by the ministry was made due to the closure of some refineries in the country during Eid holidays creating shortage of petrol in some parts of the country. The step has been taking by the Ministry to ensure smooth supply of petroleum
