Iranian funds were frozen by the EU illegally

Brussels (AP): The European court ruled that the EU government illegally froze the fund of Iranian opposition group. A ban on the People’s Mujahideen Organization was placed by the EU bloc who had brought the name of the organization on the terror group list. While a British court had ruled and decided to remove the name of the organization from the terrorist list as the group was not found involved in any terrorist activities anywhere in the world nor in its homeland.

The court ruled that EU should have taken into account the decision by the British court.

Babil handed over to Iraq

Hilla (AFP): The US forces handed over province of Babil back to Iraq on Thursday. The province of Babil is also known for archaeological treasures. The handing over of the province came as the result of on going negotiations between Iraq and the US.

Indian parliamentarian demand ban on Hindu groups

New Delhi (Reuters) The Indian government and the Indian media has always been very quick in blaming the Muslims for terrorist activities, to gain appreciation from the Western world. Eventual truth has now surfaced that certain Hindu groups has been behind the act of terrorism, in two bombings that took place last month in India.

The Indian newspaper carried out a news story confirming involvement of a Hindu Group, Jagran Manch, was involved in the two blasts in Western India.

Chase Bank branches and Federal regulatory offices receive threatening letters

Washington (AP): Approximately 50 letters were received in branches of Chase Bank and by the office of federal regulatory in 11 cities during this week. The letters threatened to kill the readers of the letters within 10 days.

The FBI released the content of the letters but deleted the name of person who was blamed in the letter for stealing public money. The powder in the letter tested negative for dangerous toxins.

Russia increasing troops strength in South Ossetia

Tibilsi (Reuters): Russia denied the allegations levied by Georgia that Russia has increased it troops strength from 2,000 to 7,000 in the past week. The Russian dismissed these charges and said that the deployment in the region was openly declared. “It’s very difficult to comment on official declarations of Georgian representatives because there is very little truth in them,” he said.
