Breaking news - India in grip of bomb blasts - 12 blasts rock Assam
2008-10-30 16:45:03 (GMT) (Caymanmama.com - India News News)Guwahati, Assam: The Indian news TV channels reports that series of 12 blasts rocked the State of Assam. 2 bombs exploded in Guwahati, the capital city of the state while other bombs exploded in the areas of upper Assam -Bonghi villages, Kokrajhar and Barpita.
20 people have been reported dead and many of the injured in serious condition were shifted to the hospitals. The increase in the number of deaths is expected due to intensity of the injuries suffered by the people. Hundreds of vehicles have also been damaged in the bombs blasts.
The TV channels reports that the bomb blasts took place in the crowed market areas of the city of Guwahati including Ganesh Gori, Fancy Bazar, Pan Bazar and Daspur Road.
The law enforcing agencies have started their operation and the hunt of the culprits have been launched by them. As yet no one has claimed the responsibility for the bomb blasts.
