Islamabad: (Dawn Report): The visiting Centcom head - The US central command chief and the Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher today met the Defense Minister Ahmad Mukhtar and the Joint Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani today. The visitors were given briefing on Pakistan’s efforts and sacrifices on the war against terror. The visiting team was warned and told in a strong protest that US must not wage war on terrorism at the cost of Pakistan sovereignty.

UK - Muslim conservative party members appeal to help Pakistan to overcome its economic problems

London (APP) Pakistani Muslims is UK appealed to the International community to help Pakistan come out of the critical economic and financial turmoil. The Muslim Conservative party members at the House of Lords, during the dinner hosted yesterday spoke about the ailing health of Pakistan and stressed on the need of helping Pakistan to fight against militancy, terrorism, extremism and in establishing global peace.

Islamabad (APP): While speaking to the new Chief of US Central command who met the President at the Presidency in Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari said, “Continuing drone attacks on our territory, which result in loss of precious lives and property, are counterproductive and difficult to explain by a democratically elected government. It is creating a credibility gap.”
