Violence and terrorism to be curbed with joint efforts - Muslim and Christian resolve

Vatican City (Reuters) At the end of the meeting that was held between Muslims and Christian both the religious communities resolved to respect each others religion and jointly fight against violence and terrorism. The declaration issued after the meeting read, “We profess that Catholics and Muslims are called to be instruments of love and harmony among believers, and for humanity as a whole, renouncing any oppression, aggressive violence and terrorism, especially that committed in the name of religion, and upholding the principle of justice for all.”

Bangledesh, Myanmar standoff continues

Yangon (AFP): The authorities in Myanmar have expressed their will to continue oil exploration in the disputed maritime boundary saying that, “The government of the Union of Myanmar rejects the wrongful demands of Bangladesh as it has been working according to international law.”

Visit of top Chinese envoy spark violent protests in Taiwan

Taipei: Violent protest erupted after the arrival of top Chinese envoy ,Chen Yulin, in Taipei. Around 1000 people pelted stones, eggs, petrol bombs and bottled water at the riot police who was sent there to guard the Grand hotel where the Chinese envoy was staying. Over 60 police men were injured in the violence.
