Video sharing site TroopTube now offered to military and their supporters
San Diego, California (CaymanMama.com) — YouTube has become one of the largest and most watched video sharing site on the internet connecting people from all walks of life.
In fact, just over a year ago, the popular video sharing website was restricted from one particular bunch of people who could benefit from those videos the most when the U.S. military banned the troops from accessing YouTube.
For that reason, a new video sharing site called TroopTube has been launched for troops and their families who want that visual connection when their loved ones are away.
With the assistance of Delve Networks, the U.S. military has relaxed their strict policy by providing our troops with a new type of video sharing site that allows them to interact with those that love them and support them.
According to a report by the Associated Press, TroopTube has many of the same functions as YouTube with a few minor exceptions. Upon registration, users can upload videos that will be pre-screened by Pentagon personnel to ensure national security and to enforce appropriate viewing content.
Alex Castro, Chief Executive of Delve said, “A lot of people are excited in the company to be doing something for the people who make sacrifices… We’re proud of this.”
Delve Networks is part of the development team on TroopTube focusing on technological development and site compatibility for user connections.
