CaymanMama.com restaurant review on frozen yogurt at Yogurtville

Carrollton, Texas (CaymanMama.com) — This past weekend, my friend and I passed the newest DIY frozen yogurt shop in Carrollton, Texas called Yogurtville.

Having just opened its doors in a brand new shopping center, we decided to see what it had to offer since frozen yogurt stores have been scarce these past few years.

Right as we walked in the door, we were impressed with the crisp, clean atmosphere. Customers select a cup (in size big or really big) and then are allowed to choose their flavor or flavors of choice from a row of spigots to buy as much or as little yogurt as they like.

There are approximately 12-14 unique flavors available (6 - 7 machines, plus the ability to get a “swirl”of the flavors on either side.) The choices are diverse from Belgian chocolate, banana cream pie and pumpkin, to cheesecake, kiwi strawberry, tart, and cappuccino.

The toppings bar impressive; you can virtually top your yogurt with anything. Fruits, Kashi cereals, chocolate chips, nuts, marshmallows… you name it, it was there. Even crushed Pop Tarts, strawberry Whoppers, and cheesecake chunks were an option.

The pricing seems a bit misleading since the sign I read when I walked in said “$0.35 per ounce”. This doesn’t sound like much since the pricing didn’t immediately register to me just how much I was getting due to the remarkably large size of the containers they offer.

Still, my friend and I got several types of yogurt with loads of toppings for about $7. Not too bad for great tasting yogurt and all the toppings you can ask for!

Overall, this CaymanMama restaurant reviewer gives Yogurtville an A-, losing just a few points for the price per ounce.

There is currently no website for Yogurtville, but the site is currently under construction.
