New York, USA - November 2008. In the run up to the holidays, online auction site, eBid.net is giving bargain hunters the chance to snap up the best deals from the comfort of their own home by increasing listings on their popular Happy Hour Auctions where bids start at $10 with no reserve.

From 24 November until 31 December, Happy Hour auctions will be held daily between 6pm – 10pm EST, featuring more of the best deals prominently placed on the homepage.

According to internet monitoring firm, Hitwise, with the current economic climate, price sensitivity is driving more visitors to websites. Over the past twelve months, online searches for the term “second hand” have increased by 22%. Online spending is expected to rise to 10% of total retail sales by 2010.
