People magazine dubs Australian actor Hugh Jackman the “sexiest man alive”
Los Angeles, California (CaymanMama.com) — From George Clooney to Brad Pitt, People Magazine has been known for its Sexiest Man Alive award handed out every year to the man the magazine feels is most drool-worthy.
This year’s award goes to 40-year-old, 6-foot-2-inch Aussie Hugh Jackman, best known for his roles in as Wolverine in “X-Men” and currently promoting his new film with Nicole Kidman “Austrailia”.
“Hugh Jackman is the real package — humble, romantic, drop-dead gorgeous and a star of the moment. He is so much more than his movies — that’s sexy,” said Elizabeth Sporkin, executive editor at People.
The magazine felt Jackman deserved the title due to his ability to play Hollywood action heroes, and his romance skills as he’s said he sings romantic ballads to his wife of 12 years, Deborra-Lee Furness.
Not only a good husband but father too, Jackman bakes pancakes for his children, Oscar and Ava, when he is not busy working out his muscular body in they gym.
Jackman’s talent won him a Tony award, Broadway’s highest honor, for his role in “The Boy from Oz.”
“Brad is unattainably sexy, George is brainy-suave, Matt is boy-next-door sexy, and Hugh’s sex appeal is the fact that he is gritty, has a great accent, and is physical,” Sporkin said.
