Crisis in European Stock Markets

London (Reuters): European stock markets started to reflect the global impact of financial crises after tumbling of major banks and bleeding currencies around the world. The European stocks, yesterday fells down to a five years low. The shares closed at 781.06 points which is the lowest level since 2003. More the 48% have been shed by the European shares in this year.

German artillery finds route to Afghanistan through Russia

Moscow (AFP): Russia opened its roads for the German arms and ammunition for supplies to the Nato forces after Pakistan has had closed its land route amid security concerns. The permit by Russia was issued on November 10. French and German goods for Nato forces in Afghanistan have found the safe passage through Russian since April.

Muslim countries asked for financial help by United States

Kuwait City (AFP): The US, the country that has for the past many years treated Muslims and Muslim countries like dirt is licking their feet for helping the US in the worst ever financial crises. The US has requested Saudi Arabia for a financial aid of $120 billion, UAE for $70 billion, Qatar $60 billion and Kuwait for $40 billion. The fund requested from the oil rich countries is planned to be spent to bail out the sick / ailing automobile industry of the US.

Iran close to making nuclear bombs

New York: After mastering uranium enrichment, Iran might be on the way to acquire technology of making nuclear bomb. Iran, right now, has 1,290 pounds or 630 kgs of low enriched uranium, as per New York times report that was published on Thursday. The top nuclear physicist said that Iran clearly has enough uranium to make a bomb but knowing how to make one is a different issue.

Iran, on the other hand maintains that his unclear enrichment program is solely for nuclear power and does not intend to make weapons.

Pirates release hijacked ship

Hong Kong (AFP) After receiving the ransom from the owner of the Hong Kong flagged ship, the pirates released the vessel which is on its way back. The spokeswoman of Sinotrans Shipping said “A ransom was paid. The vessel has left the Somali area safely and is in international waters heading back (to) Hong Kong.”
