Mumbai besieged by terrorists- gunmen take people hostage in Taj Hotel, Oberoi hotel

Mumbai, India (CaymanMama.com) — Ten hours have passed since terrorists started raining terror in the city of Mumbai. The situation in Mumbai is far from under control. Gunmen attacked Taj Hotel and Hotel Oberoi looking for travelers with foreign passports. 110 people have reported been killed and over 900 injured in the series of attacks.

The terrorists are still holding about 40 people as hostage in the hotels. According to the media reports the gunmen are still in the hotels and exchanging fire with the police and commando forces. Some action packed moments are also been witnessed as the commandos of the Indian police have entered the sections of the hotel.The gunmen inside the hotel are setting different parts of the hotel on fire.According to the witnesses gunmen are carrying automatic weapons and are also using hand grenades.

The situation is the city is tense and police claims to have captured 5 gunmen from the office block of Mumbai’s financial district.

According to BBC news, head of the anti terrorist squad and two other senior officials have been gunned down.

Deccan Mujahideen (an unknown militants group) have claimed the responsibility of the killed and of spreading terror in Mumbai. The gunmen are present on the seventh floor of The Taj Hotel.
