Indian commandos raid the Jewish center in Mumbai
Mumbai (Reuters): With more than 24 hours passed, the Indian police is still trying to get the hostages released from the claws of some 25 terrorists who rained terror in the parts of financial capital of the country killing 119 people. These heavily armed terrorists some of whom had arrived by sea are still at large. The news from Reuters state that police provided cover up for the commandos to enter the Jewish Center.
US military pact get approval from Iraqi parliament
Baghdad: US forces withdrawal by the end of 2011 was sealed yesterday with Iraqi parliament voting in favor of the US military pact. The pact reached with Washington after tough negotiations. The pact got approval by 114 member out of 198 who attended the voting session.
Thailand protests peak as second airport of the city besieged by protesters
Bangkok (Reuters): Bangkok airports blocked by the protesters have posed danger to the country’s economic health. ‘Sadistic behavior leader to imprisonment of a Malaysian Woman
Kaula Lumpur (Reuters) The Malaysian court sentenced a local woman for a sadistic behavior. Yim Pek Ha, a 40 year old housewife received 18 years jail for scalding her Indonesian maid with a hot iron. The news of such act sparked outrage on the treatment of Indonesian workers who come to work in Malaysia as house maids, plantation workers and construction workers
Israeli ruling party pressurizes Olmert to step down
Jerusalem (AFP): Ehud Olmert has come under pressure by the ruling party of Israel to step down as he has been been indicted in the graft cases. The foreign minister Tzili Livno led the call in which she said, “The prime minister has to take a leave of absence; there’s no other choice.” She added, “Israel cannot tolerate a situation where he is acting as prime minister after a decision to indict him. This is a moral test; this is a question of values and a practical test.”
