Washington: Barack Obama speaking in favor of India said that like the US, India had the right to attack the militants hiding across the boarders with or without the permission of the government. He said, “I think that sovereign nations, obviously, have a right to protect themselves. Beyond that, I don’t want to comment on the specific situation that’s taking place in South Asia right now.”
Obama said, “I can tell you that my administration will remain steadfast in support of India’s efforts to catch the perpetrators of this terrible act and bring them to justice. And I expect that the world community will feel the same way.”
Hillary Clinton named as Secretary of State
Chicago (AFP): Senator Hillary Clinton was nominated as the Secretary of State by the President Elect, Barack Obama. “She’s an American of tremendous stature who will have my complete confidence, who knows many of the world’s leaders, who will command respect in every capital,” said Obama while he also said, “I will be giving Secretary Gates and our military a new mission as I take office, responsibly ending the war in Iraq through a successful transition to Iraqi control.”
