Pakistan under pressure by US and India

Islamabad: India acting like a puppet tied with strings dancing and singing on the tunes of their masters, the US. Since the day of Mumbai attacks. Even before the saga ended Pakistan was accused of sending terrorist to Mumbai through sea routes where the Indian Navy was busy in practice. The TV channels aired animated videos with fictitious characters naming them with Pakistani names as if they had already been prepared for the incident days before upon specific instructions.

US and India since then are singing on the same tune, saying the same word mounting pressure on Pakistan threatening its existence.

While some US officials state their satisfaction on the Pakistan’s working on the banning the outfits suspected to have played a part in Mumbai attacks other speak about their dissatisfaction urging Pakistan to do more. The list of dissatisfied people include off-course George W. Bush and his ever efficient Condoleeza Rice. Both of them seem to be in a hurry of finishing a job of destroying Pakistan before leaving office. The difference this time is that the American have forgot the difference between friends and foes.

Pakistan not to take part in International sports events to be held in India

Islamabad: Pakistan sports ministry has decided to pull out of the two International sporting events that are being held in India in the coming months. The decision of not playing Squash Tournament organized by Asian Squash Federation that will be held in Chennai on Jan 16 and the four nation hockey event that is planned to beheld in Chandrigarh and Jalandhar in coming February. The sports ministry added that sending Pakistani teams to India at the moment when tensions are high between both the countries is risky.

Action would be take against credible evidence says Rehman Malik

Islamabad: After urging India to provide credible evidence, the Adviser to the PM on Interior said that Pakistan is ready to co-operate with India in every which way it can but India should provide credible evidence. Mr. Rehman Malik was speaking at the joint Press Conference held along with the Chief of Interpol, who is in Pakistan after visiting India to collect evidence of the culprits who were involved in Mumbai attacks.

The Interpol chief too, spoke to the press and said that India has not provided or shared any evidence or leads about the person involved in Mumbai attacks to Interpol and Interpol knows as much as Pakistanis do.

UN satisfied with Pakistan’s compliance

United Nations: United Nation’s top official Richard Barret, coordinator of Security Council said that, ‘I found in all my dealings with officials in Pakistan, whether it’s the government, elected officials, ministries or the intelligence services or the Army, and we deal with all of those bodies - I found very good atmosphere of cooperation between them as well as with us.’

He added, ‘It is very difficult for a state to implement that (sanctions) completely, but yes in a way the Pakistani government is working to ensure fruitful compliance.’

Karachi Stock Exchange down slide continues

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange lost another 293.31 points bringing the KSE-100 index down to 6,924.15 points. All the market started off with a negative note with almost all the scrips being offered for sale at the lowest levels. The total shares that exchanged hands were 26.72 million.
