Obama hesitant to speak on Israeli issue

Washington (ABC News) While stressing that time is needed to close Guantanamo Bay Prison and also stressing on the urgent need of entering into a dialog with the Iranian official the President Elect Barack Obama seemed reluctant to speak in the issue of Israel which has taken over precedence on all other issues world over during the show air by ABC news.

Ukrainian PM agrees to re-ink the gas supply agreement

Brussels (AFP): The Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko signaled the Russian authorities to separate the Ukrainian declaration to formally document the comments and remarks on the original agreement. The approval will allow restoration of supply of gas to Europe through Ukrainian gas pipelines.

White phosphorus being used in Gaza

Jerusalem (Dawn News): While the world watches Israel continues to kill innocent Palestinians but this using white phosphorous bombs over densely populated areas and at the refugee camps that house locals and not Hamas militants. The Human rights watch said yesterday that, “Israel’s military has fired artillery shells packed with the incendiary agent white phosphorus over populated areas of Gaza, including a crowded refugee camp, putting civilians at risk.”

Israel may stop attacks on Gaza

Gaza City (AFP): On Sunday, for the first time in the past many days, the Israeli authorities indicated that they might halt military action against Palestine sighting to bring an end to 16 days old war that has left hundreds of Palestinians dead and thousand injured.

In this connection the Israeli PM said, ‘Thus it would seem that we are close to ending the ground operation and ending the operation altogether.’

New Yorkers rise against Israeli attacks on Gaza

New York (CNN): New Yorkers turned violent during pro-Palestinian rally here yesterday resulting in injuring 7 police officers. Protestors were taken into custody who now face charges of disorderly conduct to reckless endangerment. The police handout on the incident state, “While attempting to separate the males, several others joined in and began to assault the officers.”

While the demonstrator’s version of the story is entirely different, that states, “The police pushed us out onto the avenue, and as we were walking down the avenue … they charged with horses on the sidewalks and they charged with their own bodies and pushed in, and a riot started.”
