West Palm Beach, Florida (CaymanMama.com) — Luxury linens and tea parties go hand in hand. That is why Pioneer Linens, the nation’s leading luxury bedding and yacht linens retailer, is hosting a lavish tea party featuring best-selling author, designer and style extraordinaire Carleton Varney.
Author of over 20 books (most on design) but including two biographies on Dorothy Draper, and two novels, Varney’s latest book “Houses in my Heart” is about his own journey through his life in design. Varney is a weekly columnist for the Palm Beach Daily News and was named one of the 30 Deans of American Design by Architectural Digest in 2005.
Carleton Varney was the color consultant to the Carter Presidential Library and for numerous State functions at the White House. He redecorated the Official Vice President’s residence in Washington D.C., the Governor’s Mansion in West Virginia, and the U.S. Ambassador’s residence in Tokyo, Japan.
The tea party will take place at the Pioneer Linen’s retail store located at 210 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach, Florida on February 11, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Varney will do a meet and greet along with a book signing, as well as give a short discussion on “10 Ways to Make your Home More Comfortable During these Challenging Times”.
