‘Dog Whisperer’ Cesar Milan gets his citizenship

Dallas, Texas (CaymanMama.com) — Dogs and fans of ‘Dog Whisperer” Cesar Milan have a reason to celebrate: Milan took his oath of citizenship making him a full fledged U.S. citizen on Thursday.
Millan, a native Mexican and star of National Geographic Channel’s Dog Whisperer, was sworn in during a ceremony in Montebello, California, the National Geographic Channel said in a statement.
Millan passed his citizenship test earlier this year, but has has been a resident of the U.S. since 2000.
“This is the ultimate culmination of living the American dream,” he said.
According to the Associated Press, “The animal trainer, who shot to fame in 2003 when his series premiered on the National Geographic Channel, chronicled his childhood in Mexico and how he crossed the border as a young man in his book, Cesar’s Way.”
