Nawaz Sharif can now contest election - route to parliament cleared

Islamabad: Nawaz Sharif, the chief of PML-N can now contest election ruled the Supreme Court of Pakistan, declaring that the previous decisions of the Lahore High Court and Supreme court in this regards were ex-parte in which factual aspects of the case were not brought to the notice of the court leading to miscarriage of justice.

Both Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif can now hold public office as per the new court orders.

Prime Minister of Pakistan declares Malakand calamity hit area

Islamabad: Malakand division, the area hit by war with militants have been declared as a calamity hit area by the Pakistani PM, as such, the Prime Minister waived off the land revenue and other taxes. He also instructed the concerned officials to look after the crops of the displaced people and also to make arrangements to harvest the crops and make arrangements to market it.

French President to visit Pakistan to conclude Pakistan France nuclear deal

Abu Dhabi: French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, might visit Pakistan to conclude and sign the civilian nuclear deal . The meeting between the French and Pakistani officials is underway in Abu Dhabi in which issues regarding nuclear cooperation and nuclear safety program are being discussed. Though France has still not make clear as to what has been discussed between the President Asif Ali Zardari and the French President.

Government getting serious in solving Balochistan issue

Islamabad: The Prime Minister of Pakistan on instruction of the President will be calling for a meeting of Pakistan Peoples Party office bearers to discussing the burning issue of Balochistan. The situation in Balochistan demand attention, as such the PPP members meeting will forward suggestion on the how to handle the Balochistan issue.

The PPP office bearers meeting is been taken as as prelude of the All Party’s Conference on Balochistan which is to be convened by the Prime Minister.

Stock at Karachi Stock Exchange register modest rise

Karachi: The stock at the Karachi Stock Exchange closed with the modest gain of 3.32 points. The trading session, yesterday, started with a positive note with the KSE-100 index touching the intra day high adding 82.49 points to the board. The stock entered the negative zone and by the end rose modestly to bring the KSE-100 index to 7,176.89 points
