Whitney Houston’s comeback album countdown begins

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (CaymanMama.com) –The countdown to the highly anticipated comeback album for diva Whitney Houston has begun.

Arista Records says this new, and buzzed about album, currently untitled, is set for release Sept. 1. The song star has not released an album in seven years.

Houston, 45, remains one of the best-selling artists of all-time, in spite of her publicized struggles with drug addiction, marital problems with singer Bobby Brown, and erratic behavior.

But lately, the Grammy-winner has worked hard to restore her previous luster and wowed the audience when she performed at her mentor Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party in February.

“You wait for the great songs to be written,” Davis has said. “The great hits Whitney has given to the public for so many years — you keep encouraging and setting the bar.”
