Fresno, California (CaymanMama.com) — Apple Inc. recently unveiled the new MacBook Pro laptop, featuring a longer battery life, faster processor and a new, lower price tag.
Apple launched the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops during the introduction of its developers’ conference in San Francisco, where buzz spread quickly that a new iPhone would be revealed later in the presentation.
The 13-inch laptop will sell for $1,200, and the 15-inch model retails for $1,700 and up — both nearly $300 less than their predecessors.
Apple also slashed the price on its ultra-sleek MacBook Air, dropping it from $1,500 from $1,800. The popular 7-inch MacBook Pro, released in January, sells for $2,500 and up.
Shares of the cutting-edge technology maker were down $4.27, nearly 3 percent, at $140.40 in afternoon trading.
