Portland, Oregon (CaymanMama.com) –What a way to celebrate a golden birthday! Former President George H.W. Bush celebrated his 85th year of vitality by skydiving over the coast of Maine.

Bush took a tandem jump Friday accompanied by a member of the Army’s Golden Knights parachute team onto a landing zone near a church in Kennebunkport, a scenic location where Bush owns a summer home.

All of Former President Bush’s children, including George W. Bush, were present for the jump.

According to the Associated Press, “Bush’s most recent jump was in November 2007 at the reopening of his library at Texas A&M University. He made his first jump as a Navy pilot when his plane was shot down over the Pacific during World War II.”

The daredevil is no stranger to skydiving — he did so to celebrate his 75th and 80th birthdays and on two other occasions.
