Billy Joel, wife end marriage after 5 years

Orlando, Florida (CaymanMama.com) –Another show business marriage it biting the dust, as singer Billy Joel and his wife of five years, Katie Lee, are getting a divorce.
“After nearly five years of marriage Billy Joel & Katie Lee Joel have decided to separate. This decision is a result of much thoughtful consideration. Billy & Katie remain caring friends with admiration and respect for each other,” a statement issued by both reps states.
Rumors have circulated for months about strife in the couple’s marriage but the pair denied the reports.
Joel, 60, and Katie, 27, said their vows during a sunset ceremony in September 2004 at Joel’s 15-acre waterfront Center Island estate in Long Island.
Katie works as a chef and is former host of Bravo’s Top Chef.
