Salt Lake City, Utah (CaymanMama.com) — Longtime sweethearts, Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett know that love conquers all, even as Fawcett wages a personal battle against anal cancer.
O’Neal, 68, told Barbara Walters during a sit-down interview on ABC’s “20/20″ which airs Friday, that he popped the quest to his lady love and “she’s agreed.” The actor says they will make it official “as soon as she can say yes.”
In 2006, Fawcett, 62, was diagnosed with anal cancer which has since spread to her liver. The “Charlie’s Angels” beauty and O’Neal have a son, Redmond, 24.
O’Neal says Fawcett is “fighting for her life,” and even though the actress’s health is declining quickly, they will “absolutely” get married. They have been together since 1979.
