North Carolina Rep. state senators rally for Sanford’s resignation

Providence, Rhode Island (CaymanMama.com) — South Carolina’s Gov. Mark Sanford is coming under fire Wednesday as the buzz is growing markedly louder for his resignation after admitting to carrying on an extra-marital affair.
GOP Senators Daniel Verdin, Shane Martin and Wes Hayes added their names to the anti-Sanford list on Wednesday, bringing the total number of Republican senators requesting Sanford’s resignation to 12.
There are currently 27 GOP’s in the state senate.
Sanford has lost a great deal of support from legislators and grassroots leaders in North Carolina after admitting to the Associated Press that he had met with his mistress on more occasions that he had previously revealed.
Sanford then confessed to the same type of behavior with other women.
At least four county GOP chairman have also called for Sanford to go.
