Asbestos contamination in public schools force parents to opt for private schools

The school in Columbia, Missouri had recently undergone renovation and traces of asbestos were found. The contamination of 3% to 5% was revealed during the tests. The Department of Natural Resources (Missouri) considers contamination of over 1% dangerous for health.

Such violation have led to endanger lives of children by the managers of such educational facilities. The asbestos particles once inhaled house themselves inside the human body and typically stay dormant for 20 to 50 years after which mesothelioma surfaces. Such negligent acts will lead to harm of the new generation in spite of such hue and cry about the dangers of exposure to asbestos

The EPA, in this case, have instructed the schools to appoint an air quality inspector that will ensure that no such violations take place and public schools in the United States become safe havens for the children.
