Islamabad (Dawn.com): Much talked about Kerry-Lugar Pakistan aid bill which the democratic government of Pakistan sees as their International relations success might not be as welcomed as it was expected from the Pakistan armed forces. The Top Army generals will be bringing the aid bill under discussion today during their meeting. The Kerry - Lugar aid bill is suspected to injure Pakistan’s sovereignty and it also checks on Pakistan’s security setup.
Islamabad blast at UN Office - Tehrik-i-Taliban claim responsibility
Peshawar (Dawn.com): The Taliban Spokesman, Azam Tariq, spoke with Reuters through a telephone call that Tehrik-i-Taliban accepting the responsibility of bomb blast at the UN office in Islamabad that let 5 people dead. He said, ‘We accept responsibility for the attack in Islamabad.’ About the reason of attacking UN office he said, ‘All these organisations are slaves of the United States.’

Islamabad (Dawn.com): The cat is out of the bag, The Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif confirmed to the press that he has met the Army chief in the past week and such meeting, he said, are the routine meeting. The agenda of the meeting was not public.
Condition of ‘Graduation’ abolished from election law, Amendment in Election Law, Bill passed by the National Assembly
Islamabad (Dawn.com): Shameful but true, the Pakistan National Assembly, yesterday unanimously passed the Election Law (Amendment Bill), 2009. The fate of Pakistan is about to go into the hands of illiterate land lords and political party members who cannot even sign their names of the law passed by them.
The Minister of Parliamentary affair, Dr. Babar Awan told the media that, ‘Today, the Senate of Pakistan has passed Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2009 meant at abolishing the graduation condition for participating in national and provincial assemblies’ elections.”
Karachi Stock Exchange gains 1.64%, index up by 155 points
Karachi (Dawn.com): The trading session at the Karachi stock exchange started with positive note bringing the KSE-100 index to 9,643 points with the rise of 155 points.
