August Coppola, father of Nicholas Cage, passes away at 75

Los Angeles, California (CaymanMama.com) — The father of actor Nicholas Cage has passed away.
August Coppola, a literature professor, died following a heart attack at the age of 75, Cage spokeswoman Annett Wolf said.
Brother to famed filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, August’s passion for the arts led him to teach literature courses and serve as the Dean of Creative Arts at San Francisco State University in California.
In addition to Nicholas Cage, Coppola is survived by his children Christopher and Marc and three grandchildren.
Cage has yet to issue a statement at this time.
