Highly anticipated Rihanna interview to air on ABC dishing on Chris Brown assault

Bakersfield, California (CaymanMama.com) — Pop star and fashion icon Rihanna will be giving her first formal interview following the tumultuous assault case involving her and ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
The ABC network will feature a one-on-one interview with Rihanna and Diane Sawyer which will air Thursday and Friday on “Good Morning America” and Friday evening on “20/20.”
Brown allegedly assaulted Rihanna, his then-girlfriend, in February. He was consequently sentenced to five years’ probation in August, along with six months of community service and one year of domestic violence counseling.
He plead guilty to felony assault.
Rihanna’s first interview following the media storm comes along the same time as the debut of her new, edgy single, “Russian Roulette,” from her upcoming album, “Rated R.”
Rihanna’s first album, “Good Girl Gone Bad” went multiplatinum in 2007.
