Medical Malpractice Alert: Actor James Woods suing hospital over brother’s wrongful death

Bakersfield, California (CaymanMama.com) — Two-time Oscar nominated actor James Woods is suing a hospital in Rhode Island for the wrongful death of of his younger brother in 2006.
Although Woods declined to discuss the matter in further detail, he did tell The Associated Press he is seeking “justice” for his brother, Michael, who passed away at the young age of 49 at Kent Hospital in Warwick due to an apparent heart attack.
Woods claims his brother received negligent medical treatment and his wrongful death is at the hands of the hospitals staff.
By Friday, a jury had been selected with opening statements scheduled for Monday in Kent County Superior Court.
Woods is a highly respected actor how received his coveted Oscar nominations for his performances in “Ghosts of Mississippi” and “Salvador.” He also stars in “Nixon,” “Casino” and the CBS legal drama “Shark.”
Lawyers for both sides have refused to speak about the case before its completion.
