San Francisco, California (CaymanMama.com) — A California resident and his family were killed over the holiday weekend after the family’s minivan minivan was hit by a teenager who also died in the accident, reports San Francisco car accident lawyer Mary Alexander or the trial law firm of Mary Alexander & Associates.

Johnathan Maloney, 45, was returning to his Sonoma, Calif. home from a Thanksgiving visit to Hawaii on Saturday when the accident occurred in Novato, Calif., just 30 miles north of San Francisco.

According to a report by Associated Press, Maloney was traveling with his wife Susan, 42, and their two children, Aiden, 8, and Grace, 5. The entire family perished in the accident. Their minivan was broadsided at an intersection by a Mini Cooper driven by Steven Culbertson, 19.

Culbertson later died as a result of his injuries.

Police said the teenager was speeding at nearly 100 mph before running a red light. The killing the Maloney family on impact. Police said the minivan was nearly unrecognizable after the crash.

The Maloneys and Culbertson were among 30 people who died on California roads during the holiday weekend.
