Phoenix, Arizona (CaymanMama.com) — After the worst week in both of their lives, Elin Nordegren, wife of Tiger Woods, has purchased a six-bedroom property near her hometown of Stockholm, Sweden that is only accessible by boat.
Stenake Johansson, chairman of the Residential Association on Faglaro island, told the media that Nordegren finalized her purchase on Dec. 1, but paperwork is still pending.
“Elin Nordegren has bought it, but I don’t know how much Tiger has signed on to those papers,” said Johansson.
Johansson could not confirm whether the strained couple planned to move in together or if Nordegren planned to move in with just the children.
Woods announced Friday he plans to take a break from golf while he works to salvage his marriage after two weeks of allegations of adulterous affairs with at least 13 women.
According to the Associated Press, “There have been unconfirmed reports the couple may be headed to Sweden to escape the worst of the media frenzy. Nordegren’s father, radio talk show host Thomas Nordegren, said Saturday he doesn’t know if that’s true.”
Woods and Nordegren have been married since 2004 and have a 2-year-old daughter and a 10-month-old son.
