Dallas, Texas (CaymanMama.com) — Another celebrity is getting hitched!
Country singer and former American Idol beauty Carrie Underwood is engaged to boyfriend of over a year, Mike Fisher.
“I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier,” Underwood’s rep told PEOPLE Magazine. “No wedding date has been set at this time.”
Fisher, 29, a player for the Ottawa Senators, spoke to the Toronto Sun about his impending nuptials but made sure to keep as tight lipped as possible about any details.
“It’s true,” he is quoted as saying. “We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”
Fisher reportedly popped the question at his home on Sunday afternoon, and then spread the word to his close friends and family later on that day.
Underwood, 26, and Fisher have kept their relationship extremely quiet, although Underwood did show the world how she really felt about Fisher in the liner notes of her newest studio album, Play On.
“I love you so much!” she said. “You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day.”
