Denver, Colorado (CaymanMama.com) — On the anniversary of Elvis Presley’s 75th birthday, the Smithsonian Institution has opened an exhibit in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles to showcase the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

“One Life: Echos of Elvis” opened its doors to the public on Friday at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington.

The exhibit occupies one small room that is entirely devoted to the influence of Elvis’s image after his death.

According to the Associated Press, “It features portraits, a gold bust of Elvis as Julius Caesar and a 1993 stamp with his likeness that became the most popular U.S. postal stamp of all time.”

Los Angeles’ Grammy Museum featured the Smithsonian’s traveling exhibit, “Elvis at 21: Photographs by Alfred Wertheimer.”

The exhibit’s photojournalist took the promotional images of a young Elvis Presley when he was just a new recording artist prior to becoming the icon he is today.
