San Francisco, California (CaymanMama.com) — Sarah Palin’s quest to be part of the daily lives of American families has become a little bit easier.

The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate has roots as a broadcast journalist and will now be able to brush up on her skills (while plugging her conservative message) as a regular commentator on Fox News, the cable channel announced Monday.

“I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News,” Palin said in a statement. “It’s wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news.”

As part of the multiyear deal Palin was offered, she will now offer her own political commentary and analysis on Fox News, as well as on the cable channel’s Web site, radio network and business cable channel.

The deal doesn’t stop there; Palin will also host a few episodes of Fox News’ “Real American Stories,” a new series to begin later this year which will show inspirational stories about Americans who have overcome the odds.

“Governor Palin has captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum and we are excited to add her dynamic voice to the FOX News lineup,” Bill Shine, executive vice president of programming, said in a statement.

It has not been disclosed how much the multiyear deal will translate into dollars for Palin, or if she will relocate to New York from her native Alaska, or if she plans to commute each way.
